Core Responsibilities Recording & Reporting: Collecting, classifying, and recording financial data (invoices, receipts, payments) and preparing financial statements, reports, and tax returns. Analysis & Insights: Analyzing financial data, reconciling accounts, monitoring expenses/revenues, and identifying areas for opportunity or risk. Compliance & Auditing: Ensuring adherence to accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations; conducting internal audits. Financial Management: Overseeing accounts payable (money owed), accounts receivable (money owed to the company), and payroll. Strategic Support: Providing data-driven recommendations to senior management for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
