The Admissions Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, from the initial inquiry to enrollment. This role involves providing information about programs, admission requirements, and campus life, while maintaining a positive and professional relationship with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to inquiries from prospective students and provide accurate information about courses, programs, and admission requirements.
Guide applicants through the entire admission process, including application submission, documentation, and interview scheduling.
Counsel students on academic options, career pathways, and program suitability based on their interests and qualifications.
Maintain and update student records in the admissions management system (CRM).
Participate in educational fairs, campus tours, and outreach events to promote programs and recruit students.
Follow up with leads and applicants to ensure timely completion of the admissions process.
Collaborate with marketing and academic departments to support enrollment campaigns and improve the admissions experience.
Prepare and present regular reports on inquiries, applications, and enrollment trends.
Stay updated with institutional policies, program updates, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in student admissions, counselling, or customer service (education sector preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/admission management tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet enrollment targets.
Positive, student-centric attitude and professional presentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in international student recruitment or higher education institutions.
Multilingual skills (advantage for institutions with diverse student populations).
Work Environment:
Office-based with occasional travel for events, fairs, or outreach programs.
May require weekend or evening availability during peak admission periods.
