We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Admission Counsellor to join our team. The role involves guiding prospective students in selecting suitable academic programs, providing accurate information about courses, and supporting them through the admission and application process. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, prior experience in admissions or counselling, and the ability to interact confidently with students and parents.
As an Admission Counsellor, you will represent the institution professionally, build meaningful rapport, understand student requirements, and ensure successful conversions through effective counselling and follow-ups, ultimately converting leads into confirmed admissions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping students make informed academic decisions and contributing to their future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Counseling:
Counsel prospective students and parents regarding program features, admission process, eligibility, and career prospects.
Handle inbound inquiries from leads generated via various marketing campaigns (calls, WhatsApp, website, social media).
Assist candidates throughout the application process: form filling, document submission, payment support, and interview scheduling.
Maintain accurate records of student data and interactions in CRM or internal systems.
Tele calling & Lead Management:
Make outbound calls to leads generated from online/offline sources and qualify them for admissions.
Follow up with interested prospects via phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or email to ensure maximum lead conversion.
Resolve queries related to courses, faculty, fees, scholarships, and deadlines.
Achieve daily/weekly calling and conversion targets.
Provide timely updates to team leads or reporting managers regarding lead status and challenges.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle pressure, objections, and targets professionally.
Confident, energetic, and proactive approach.
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any stream (preferred: marketing, education, business administration).
Previous experience in education counseling, telecalling, sales, or customer service is a plus.
