The Admission Counsellor will counsel students and parents on PU programs,
manage the inquiry-to-enrolment lifecycle, and achieve monthly/seasonal admission
targets through high-quality guidance, systematic follow-ups, and on-campus event
support.
Key responsibilities
Counsel prospective students and parents on PU streams (PCMB/PCMC/Commerce/Arts), eligibility, fees, scholarships, documentation, and timelines; recommend suitable combinations based on academic profile and goals.
Own the admissions funnel: lead qualification, counselling sessions, campus tours, application support, document verification, fee follow-ups, and offer closures within defined TATs.
Maintain complete and accurate records in CRM/ERP; publish daily/weekly MIS on leads, show-ups, applications, conversions, and pending items.
Conduct outbound follow-ups via phone/WhatsApp/email; handle inbound walk-ins and calls with professionalism and empathy.
Coordinate and participate in admission events: school outreach, open houses, seminars, parent orientations, and result-day help desks.
Collaborate with marketing to refine scripts, FAQs, and campaign messaging; provide feedback on lead quality and objections.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and ethical handling of information and payments; escalate special cases to the admissions head promptly.
Required qualifications
Graduate in any discipline; certification or coursework in counselling/psychology/education is a plus.
2-3 years of experience in admissions counselling/academic counselling/inside sales within education (PU/college/coaching/K-12) with measurable conversion outcomes.
Strong communication in English and Kannada; Hindi/Tamil/Telugu a plus.
Proficiency with CRM/ERP, spreadsheets, email, and WhatsApp Business; disciplined documentation and follow-through.
High empathy, objection handling, problem-solving, and stakeholder management with students, parents, and faculty.
Preferred experience
Demonstrated success meeting monthly/seasonal enrolment targets and improving show-up and conversion rates.
Experience running info sessions, campus tours, and school outreach; familiarity with Bengaluru PU market cycles and documentation requirements.
