Role Summary
As a L1 resource of his /her team, he /she:
xc2xb7 Takes up technical tasks and support day to day BAU tasks/Incidents/RFCs.
xc2xb7 Works in line with policies based on LEAN- best practices.
xc2xb7 Assist L2/L3 Team.
xc2xb7 Monitors various Service Now queues and emails.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
xc2xb7 Experience to Production Server Environment.
xc2xb7 Backup and restore of databases.
xc2xb7 Should have handled database installations and patching as Sybase/Postgress DBA.
xc2xb7 Installation and configuration of Sybase/Postgress Server and troubleshooting.
xc2xb7 Troubleshooting and resolving user access on databases level.
xc2xb7 Application DBA Exposure.
xc2xb7 Sybase/Postgress 12.x and above database administration experience.
xc2xb7 Knowledge in Replication, Clustering in Sybase/Postgress.
xc2xb7 Exposure to new features of current Sybase/Postgress version
xc2xb7 Development support/debugging procedures.
xc2xb7 Unix ,Linux administration experience is desired.

Public Holiday Support Paris Holidays (Client Holiday) will be followed as public holidays and not India holidays
Process & Tools
xc2xb7 ITSM tool- HP Service Now Ticketing tool for INC/SR/Change/Problem tickets.
xc2xb7 In-house tools.
xc2xb7 HP OMI for monitoring.
xc2xb7 Basic knowledge on ITIL Process & Practices.
Educational Qualifications
xc2xb7 Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Information/Computer technology preferred.
Key Competencies:
xc2xb7 2yrs (Min) to 3 yrs of relevant experience in Sybase/Postgress database administration.
xc2xb7 The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
xc2xb7 Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment.
xc2xb7 Good Oral and Written communication skills.
xc2xb7 Sybase/Postgress Certification.
xc2xb7 Scripting language exposure like Python and PowerShell scripts.
xc2xb7 Having previous banking BAU support will be added advantage.
