Job Summary:
The Hospital Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring efficient management of clinical and non-clinical functions, and maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery. The role requires strategic planning, strong leadership, and operational expertise to manage hospital staff, budgets, compliance, and overall hospital performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of all hospital departments (medical, nursing, administrative, and support services).
Ensure efficient workflow, proper resource utilization, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency.
2. Strategic Planning & Development:
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance hospital performance and service delivery.
Identify opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and process improvement.
Participate in long-term budgeting and infrastructure development planning.
3. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage annual budgets; monitor financial performance and control costs.
Ensure optimal revenue cycle management and oversee billing and procurement.
Coordinate with the finance department to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
4. Human Resource Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage hospital staff to ensure a high-performing work culture.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Resolve staffing issues and ensure proper manpower planning.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
Implement and monitor quality control programs for patient care and hospital services.
Coordinate audits, inspections, and licensing activities.
6. Patient Care & Service Excellence:
Promote patient-centered care and continuous service improvement.
Handle escalated patient complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
Implement systems to monitor patient satisfaction and feedback.
7. Communication & Public Relations:
Represent the hospital in meetings with government bodies, healthcare partners, and the community.
Manage hospital branding, marketing, and public relations activities.
Prepare reports and presentations for the board or management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3
-5 years
of experience in hospital or healthcare management.
Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, hospital operations, and accreditation standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, staff, and complex operational systems.
Proficiency in hospital management software and MS Office applications.
