The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

The SME of Product Management is to assist the Head - FCSO Screening Product Management - FircoSoft in ensuring that the Screening system operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all Group standards relating to Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions, so as to protect and enhance the reputation of the Bank with its regulators and avoid significant financial loss or reputational damage.

Strategy

Develop, structured reporting to identify risk issues and recommend for approval by the relevant Risk Committee, appropriate policies / processes / DOIs to address financial crime risks, aligning with relevant regulatory. requirements.

Business

  • Assume ownership for translating the Policies and Procedures relating to Transaction and Name Screening within the Screening solution through system configuration and algorithm settings of the screening solution.
  • Maintain an end to end view of the Transaction and Name Screening initiatives.
  • Help in managing Audits and Regulatory Inspections relating to Transaction and Name Screening.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to complete Transaction and Name Screening related product management\xe2\x80\x99s deliverables.
  • Own and maintain Process / Procedures / DOIs of the system configuration set ups for the Transaction and Name Screening solution.
  • Contribute to the Transaction and Name Screening product management team in assessing and understanding the risk profiles of products, channels and customers to provide Transaction and Name Screening solutions.
  • Review new business requirements that need to be brought into the scope of Transaction and Name Screening and provide solutions where required.
  • Escalate project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Manage and run project roll outs including definition of requirements, ensuring robust testing of delivery.
  • Liaise and monitor system performance through assurance during BAU.
  • Support Silent 8 and other system automation related go lives.
  • Maintain a robust channel of communication with List ownership, Transaction and Name Screening Product Management, Process and risk owners, SPOT and ITO and facilitate a feedback loop to ensure quality and efficiencies of the systems and processes deployed.
  • Keep track of industry best practices and be an influencer in bringing about such changes.
  • Keep track of emerging regulatory expectations in terms of Transaction and Name Screening and evaluate the present state of infrastructure and processes of the organization against this.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain the OR obligations related to Transaction and Name Screening.
  • Coordinate IT initiatives and managing database and systems used by the unit to ensure operational issues are promptly addressed.
  • Compliance with all applicable Rules / Regulations of Group Policies.
  • Communicates at senior management levels across the Group, and external relationships at senior level e.g. Vendors.
People and Talent
  • Help promote, lead, and manage, throughout the Business, the culture and practice of Financial Crime risk management within the letter and spirit of UK Law. This also includes local Laws and Regulations, UK regulations and in accordance with Group Standards.
Risk Management
  • Understand technical aspects of systems relevant to Client Risk Assessments, Transaction and Name Screening, and Case Management.
  • Review and assess existing system and controls relevant to FCSO to ascertain operational performance and effectiveness.
  • Align / Support with the alignment of relevant systems and controls to industry best practice and close out any compliance gaps.
  • Ensure that client database and configuration setup used by the screening systems are up to date.
  • Apply Group and FCSO policies and procedures (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.
  • Make recommendations (and / or implement) to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks and / or findings of concerns from investigations.
  • Assess risks arising from products and existing processes and take appropriate mitigating measures.
  • Inform senior management and relevant stakeholders of any regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) appropriately and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and / or activities are ceased.

Our Ideal Candidate

Required
  • 12 - 14 years of experience in Operations / Technology (techno-functional).
  • Proven experience in Sanctions Compliance, AML / Transaction and Name Screening Surveillance.
  • Proven track record of managing change and delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Independent worker with strong presence as a team-player.
  • Professional, highly adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Must demonstrate a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Visio).
Preferred
  • Prior experience in Fircosoft with deep knowledge on system configurations and algorithms is a primary requirement, additional knowledge with other screening platforms could be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience with tuning / rules management.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of SWIFT and other payment messaging protocols.
