Daymart Group is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Accounts Trainee
to support the Accounts Department in managing daily accounting operations, payroll processing, and statutory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start or build their career in accounting and payroll management within a structured retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Accounts Director in day-to-day accounting functions.
Support monthly payroll processing and salary disbursement through
WPS (Wage Protection System)
.
Assist in preparation and submission of
ESI, PF, and TDS
reports and returns.
Maintain employee payroll records and ensure accuracy in attendance and salary data.
Handle basic bookkeeping, vouchers, and reconciliations as assigned.
Assist in vendor payments, petty cash handling, and related accounting tasks.
Ensure timely documentation and adherence to statutory compliance requirements.
Coordinate with HR for employee-related financial documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in
Commerce, Accounting, Finance
, or a related field.
Freshers
with internship experience in accounting are welcome to apply.
Candidates with
basic knowledge or experience
in Tally, payroll processing, TDS, EPF, ESI, or WPS are preferred.
Proficiency in
MS Excel
and familiarity with accounting software is desirable.
Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
Good communication and coordination ability.
Probation & Employment Terms
Probation Period:
3 months (based on performance, confirmation will follow).
Work Location:
Daymart Group- Head Office, Nadakkavu, Calicut.
