To manage and oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities for real estate projects, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to statutory and organizational standards. The role involves handling project-related accounts, vendor payments, client billing, and supporting audits and taxation for real estate operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books of accounts (project-wise) in compliance with accounting standards.
Record all day-to-day financial transactions including receipts, payments, sales, and purchases.
Manage general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and reconciliations.
Prepare and verify bills, vouchers, and supporting documents related to real estate projects.
2. Project & Cost Accounting
Track project-related expenditures and budgets for multiple sites.
Prepare project cost reports and monitor deviations between budgeted and actual expenses.
Coordinate with project engineers and procurement for material and contractor billing verification.
Maintain records of advances to contractors, suppliers, and customers.
3. Receivables & Payables Management
Handle customer billing, installment tracking, and follow-up for outstanding payments.
Process vendor invoices, verify contracts and work orders, and ensure timely payments.
Maintain ageing reports for debtors and creditors and follow up accordingly.
4. Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Support management with cash flow projections, fund utilization, and profitability analysis.
Ensure project-wise P&L and balance sheet reporting.
5. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, RERA, and other applicable laws.
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory submissions.
Support internal, statutory, and tax audits by providing required data and reconciliations.
Liaise with consultants, auditors, and government authorities for compliance matters.
6. Banking & Treasury
Handle daily banking activities, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations.
Coordinate with banks for project finance, loans, and documentation.
Monitor fund inflows and outflows to maintain adequate working capital.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
real estate accounting practices

Proficiency in
Tally ERP / SAP / Oracle
or other accounting software
Sound understanding of
GST, TDS, and RERA compliance
Analytical and detail-oriented approach
Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant (Inter/Final)
Experience:
3-7 years in real estate, construction, or infrastructure accounting
