The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the AP Payments team, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining optimal liquidity. This role requires close collaboration with the Treasury team to manage funding and cash flow. The manager will oversee a team of professional and support staff, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in AP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Manage the end-to-end vendor payment process, ensuring timely disbursements and compliance with internal controls.
Supervise daily operations of the AP Payments team, resolving issues and ensuring adherence to professional standards.
Collaborate with Treasury to forecast funding needs and manage liquidity effectively.
Monitor payment cycles and optimize working capital.
Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of individual contributors and support staff.
Drive performance management, recruitment, and talent development activities.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Execution
Execute operational plans and adapt priorities to address resource or technical challenges.
Make decisions related to ongoing delivery of work projects and services.
Ensure integration of AP processes with related functions to deliver seamless financial operations.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and mitigate risks in the AP process.
Support internal and external audits related to AP activities.
Knowledge & Business Expertise
Deep understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and liquidity planning.
Strong grasp of business practices and financial operations.
Ability to integrate AP activities with broader finance and business strategies.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar function.
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite/Coupa etc).
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
This person would report to Accounts Payable - Director/Senior Director and the role would be based out of Bengaluru
