Flowatt works closely with fleet operators, dealers, and financing partners across India.
Role Summary
The Accounts Officer will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, support invoicing and collections for subscription-based battery deployments, and assist in financial reporting. The role is critical in managing Flowatt's multi-party ecosystem (fleet operators, franchisees, OEMs, vendors).
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
?Maintain accurate books of accounts (GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliations).
?Record sales invoices, purchase bills, expenses, and journal entries.
?Handle monthly closing activities and support management reporting.
Billing, Receivables & Payables
?Generate GST-compliant invoices for BaaS subscriptions, leases, and services.
?Track customer collections, ageing, and follow up for outstanding payments.
?Process vendor payments and maintain AP schedules.
?Support reconciliation of Subscription Fees, security deposits, and adjustments.
GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance
?Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and assist with annual returns.
?Handle TDS deductions, challans, and Form 16A issuance.
?Coordinate with consultants for income tax, audits, and regulatory filings.
?Maintain proper documentation for audits and assessments.
Asset & Contract Support
?Assist in tracking battery assets, security deposits, and lease contracts.
?Maintain records for battery deployments, buybacks, and insurance claims.
?Support finance team with franchisee / dealer settlement statements.
Reporting & Controls
?Prepare MIS reports: revenue, collections, expenses, cash flow.
?Assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
?Ensure basic internal controls and documentation processes are followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
?Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com preferred).
?2-5 years of experience in accounting roles (startup / EV / asset-leasing experience is a plus).
?Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, invoicing, and reconciliations.
?Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / similar) and Excel.
?Good understanding of Indian statutory compliance.
?High attention to detail with strong follow-through on collections and documentation.
?Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
Good to Have
?Experience with subscription / leasing / asset-heavy businesses.
?Exposure to audits and financial due diligence.
?Familiarity with multi-city operations and dealer/fleet ecosystems.
