The Senior Account Manager (Civil Construction) is responsible for managing key client relationships, overseeing project accounts, and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects in line with client expectations. This role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to drive customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of civil construction processes combined with proven client management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the
primary point of contact
for major clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring repeat and referral business.
Develop a deep understanding of client project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate closely with internal teams -- project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams -- to ensure successful project execution.
Prepare and present
technical and financial proposals
, tenders, and contract documentation.
Oversee project billing, payment follow-ups, and financial reconciliation with clients.
Conduct
regular site visits
to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain client confidence.
Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling additional services or securing new projects.
Lead negotiations on project scope, variations, and commercial terms.
Maintain strong knowledge of civil construction standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
Support business development by contributing to strategic planning and market expansion initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum
10 years of experience
in account management, client servicing, or project coordination within the
civil construction or infrastructure sector
.
Strong understanding of
construction contracts (FIDIC, EPC, Design-Build, etc.)
and project lifecycle management.
Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and project schedules.
Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale construction accounts.
Strong financial acumen and experience handling project billing and cost control.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project / Primavera, and CRM tools.
Ability to travel to client sites as required.
