Patient Accounts Management:
Overseeing patient accounts, resolving any discrepancies or issues, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Financial Reporting:
Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including monthly statements, budgets, and variance analysis.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and audit requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and reporting findings to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Participating in the budgeting process, developing financial forecasts, and monitoring budget performance.
Staff Supervision:
If applicable, managing and supervising staff within the accounting department.
System Implementation and Maintenance:
Implementing and maintaining accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
Problem Solving:
Investigating and resolving discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in patient accounts or financial records.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is generally required.
Experience:
Relevant experience in healthcare accounting, patient accounts management, or a similar role is often preferred.
Certifications:
Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) may be advantageous.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and healthcare industry regulations.
Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
Software Proficiency:
Proficiency in accounting software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
