The Account Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliances, taxation, financial reporting, and coordination with auditors and tax authorities. The role ensures accuracy in financial records, timely tax filings, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer collections.
Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
Prepare and file all applicable tax returns including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory filings within due dates.
Ensure timely calculation, payment, and reconciliation of TDS liabilities with General Ledger accounts.
Prepare and file GST returns and ensure accurate reconciliation of Input Tax Credit (ITC) with books of accounts.
Calculate tax provisions and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
Advise management on tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
Prepare tax reports, workings, and documentation required for internal and statutory audits.
Handle communication with tax authorities and resolve queries or notices related to tax filings
Audit & Compliance Support:
Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial transactions and tax filings
Ensure all accounting and tax records are accurate, complete, and maintained as per legal and company requirements
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal control systems
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and direct tax compliance
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP systems) and MS Excel
High attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Strong communication and coordination skills
Educational Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance)
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance
Experience in handling audits and tax assessments will be an advantage
