Responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective financial controls. This role involves managing the accounting team, coordinating audits, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, and reconciliations.
Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate closing of books.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
Supervise and guide accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Review and approve journal entries, payments, and reconciliations.
Manage GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA / CMA preferred).
5-8 years of experience in accounting and finance, with team-handling exposure.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (Tally / SAP / Oracle, etc.).
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in audit coordination and statutory compliance.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and income tax filings.
Experience with ERP implementation or process automation.
Strategic financial planning and analysis experience.
