The accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company by managing accounting operations, budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and compliance. The role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in the F&B or retail sector. The Finance Manager plays a key role in guiding financial decisions and ensuring optimal utilization of resources across all outlets and central operations.
Core Duties:
Financial Planning and Strategy
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cost projections.
Monitor cash flow, fund requirements, and working capital management.
Accounting and Bookkeeping
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate and timely financial entries and record-keeping in accounting software.
Cost Control and Analysis
Analyze cost structures of raw materials, production, and logistics.
Identify cost-saving opportunities across outlets and central kitchen operations.
Monitor and control operational expenditures and waste management.
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Taxation and Compliance
Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Payroll Management
Oversee accurate salary processing, incentives, PF, ESI, and other employee-related deductions.
Work with HR to ensure alignment of payroll with attendance and performance metrics.
Inventory and Asset Management
Monitor inventory levels, stock audits, and wastage reports.
Ensure proper accounting of fixed assets and depreciation.
Team Coordination
Lead the finance and accounts team across branches.
Conduct training and performance evaluation of junior finance staff.
Vendor and Customer Coordination
Handle vendor payments, reconciliations, and credit terms.
Manage customer invoicing and outstanding collection follow-ups.
Support Business Growth
Evaluate financial feasibility of new outlets, expansion projects, or promotional campaigns.
Participate in business reviews and contribute to strategic planning.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background
:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (B.Com, BBA).
M.com in Finance,CMA or Chartered Accountant (CA/Inter CA) preferred.
Experience
:
Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts.
Prior experience in FMCG, F&B, or retail industry is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
:
Proficient in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar ERP).
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Well-versed in GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
Analytical and Leadership Skills
:
Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
Ability to lead and mentor finance team members.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Communication and Coordination
:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with internal departments, external auditors, vendors, and banks.
