Accounts/Finance Manager
to lead the financial functions, ensure statutory compliance, and support organizational growth.
1. Position Summary
The Accounts/Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, accounting operations, statutory compliance, billing functions, HR statutory compliance, budget forecasting, vendor/client coordination, and project cost control. This role requires strong experience in manufacturing accounting and working with industrial clients such as Tata Steel.
2. Key Responsibilities A. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee and maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally ERP/Prime.
Manage ledger scrutiny, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and monthly/annual closing of accounts.
Prepare and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Fund Flow statements.
Prepare consolidated MIS reports and financial dashboards for management.
B. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Monitor budget utilization, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Assist management in strategic planning, capital expenditure decisions, and cost optimization.
C. Billing, Receivables & Cash Flow Management
Oversee billing for manufacturing, fabrication, supply, and AMC/ARC contracts.
Handle Tata Steel vendor billing processes (e-procurement, SES, WCC, SAP compliance).
Conduct receivables analysis, reduce debtor ageing, and ensure healthy cash flow.
Monitor fund requirements and coordinate with banks for financing arrangements.
D. Taxation & Statutory Compliance (Finance & HR)
Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), TDS returns, and income tax compliance.
Maintain statutory compliance for HR including PF, ESI, PT, Bonus Act, Gratuity, and labour law requirements.
Liaise with auditors for internal, statutory, tax, and GST audits.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, MSME regulations, and other local laws.
E. Inventory, Costing & Manufacturing Finance
Oversee inventory valuation, raw material tracking, and WIP management.
Conduct job costing, fabrication costing, project-based cost analysis, and margin assessments.
Work closely with store & production teams for material consumption reconciliation.
F. Vendor Management & Purchase Finance
Scrutinize vendor invoices, contracts, and process payments as per policy.
Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation.
Support vendor registration and compliance for Tata Steel and other industrial clients.
G. AMC/ARC Contract Finance & Project Tracking
Maintain contract-wise cost tracking for AMC/ARC operations.
Monitor manpower cost, consumables, spares consumption, and project profitability.
Ensure timely preparation of WCC, service reports, and documentation for billing.
H. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead the accounts team, train staff, and ensure process efficiency.
Coordinate with HR, production, procurement, stores, and project teams for seamless operations.
Strengthen internal financial controls and implement SOPs.
3. Required Skills & Expertise Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime, GST portal, advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, dashboarding).
Expertise in
manufacturing and fabrication accounting
, costing, job work accounting, and project finance.
Detailed understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, HR statutory compliances, and company law requirements.
Experience handling billing & compliance for
Tata Steel
and similar industries (preferred).
Familiarity with AMC/ARC accounting, tender costing, SAP-based systems, e-procurement portals.

4. Qualifications
M. Com / MBA (Finance) / CA-Inter
or equivalent.
Additional certification in GST, taxation, or financial management is desirable.
5. Experience Required
7-12 years
of experience in accounts & finance roles.
Experience in a
manufacturing/fabrication/industrial services company
is mandatory.
Prior exposure to
Tata Steel vendor ecosystem
and steel/power sector industries is highly preferred.
Experience in handling
AMC/ARC projects, costing, and statutory HR compliance
Timeliness and accuracy of monthly/yearly financial statements.
Accuracy of ledgers, reconciliations, and MIS reports.
Billing & Collection Efficiency
Reduction in receivable ageing.
Timely submission of bills to Tata Steel and other clients.
Improvement in cash flow and working capital metrics.
