Key Responsibilities / Work Profile The Accounts Manager will report to the Finance Head/Director and will be responsible for the following: 1. General Ledger & Financial Statements o Maintain full sets of accounts (journals, ledgers, trial balances). o Monthly, quarterly, annual closings, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements. o Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements. 2. Tally ERP Management o Setup, configure and maintain company accounts in Tally ERP. o Handle advanced features: cost centre / cost accounting, inventory valuation, job costing. o Ensure accurate data entry, reconciliation, ledger monitoring. 3. GST, Taxation & Regulatory Compliance o Periodic GST returns, TDS, other indirect tax compliance. o Coordination with auditors, ensuring audit readiness. o Liaising with statutory bodies, filing returns, maintaining compliance documentation. 4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control o Prepare annual budgets; monitor variances monthly. o Cost analysis including manufacturing / production costs, overheads. o Suggest cost optimization measures. 5. Payroll & HR Support (where relevant) o Manage payroll processing, attendance, PF, ESI etc. o Ensure correct deductions, compliances. 6. Cash Flow & Vendor / Customer Reconciliation o Maintain cash flow forecasts; manage payables and receivables. o Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, clients for reconciliation of statements. 7. Team Management o Lead a small team of accounting clerks / assistants as required. o Assign tasks, review their work, train and mentor. 8. Internal Controls & Audit o Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets. o Prepare for internal / external audits; implement audit observations.
