Billing & Revenue Cycle Management
Supervise and streamline
patient billing processes
(OPD/IPD/diagnostics/surgery)
Verify charges for procedures, surgeries, pharmacy, room rent, etc.
Coordinate with the
front office

billing team
, and
TPA department
for cashless insurance and third-party billing

Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist in annual budgeting and expenditure forecasting
Analyze variances and implement corrective actions to manage operational costs
4.
Audit & Compliance
Coordinate with
internal and external auditors
Ensure compliance with
statutory regulations
(GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.)
Prepare financial statements and reports as per standards
Ensure records meet
NABH accreditation
requirements related to finance
5.
Payroll Management
Oversee staff payroll processing (salary, deductions, PF, ESI, TDS)
Ensure timely disbursal of salaries
Coordinate with HR for salary structures and increment calculations
6.
Inventory & Asset Management (in coordination with Stores)
Track hospital assets and maintain depreciation records
Ensure correct valuation of medical and non-medical inventory
Monitor procurement costs and vendor payments
7.
Insurance & TPA Coordination
Verify and process insurance claims
Manage receivables from TPA and corporate clients
Reconcile TPA ledgers and follow up on outstanding dues
8.
MIS Reporting
Generate
monthly/quarterly/annual MIS reports
for hospital management
Present revenue, expenses, profitability, collection efficiency, and cost-saving measures
9.
Team Supervision & Coordination
Lead and train junior accountants, billing staff, and cashiers
Ensure proper segregation of duties to reduce financial risk
10.
Software & ERP
Operate and supervise hospital accounting through software like:
Tally ERP
Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS)
SAP/Oracle (if applicable)
Key Skills Required
Strong accounting knowledge (Tally, Excel, taxation)
Understanding of healthcare billing (procedures, packages, diagnostics, TPA)
Regulatory knowledge (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, NABH finance documentation)
Team management and communication skills
