Key Responsibilities
:
Accounting & Financial Management
:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.
Prepare and review financial statements and MIS reports.
Taxation & Compliance
:
Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
Handle assessments, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
File statutory returns and maintain appropriate documentation.
Secretarial & Legal (as per CS knowledge)
:
Assist in ROC filings, board meeting documentation, and maintaining statutory registers.
Support in legal documentation, drafting resolutions, and compliance under Companies Act.
Liaise with company secretarial consultants/legal advisors when required.
Budgeting & Cost Control
:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and variance analysis.
Monitor cost controls especially in areas like production, sourcing, and logistics.
Coordination & Internal Control
:
Work closely with design, production, procurement, and merchandising teams for financial planning.
Ensure robust internal control systems are in place and adhered to.
Required Qualifications & Skills
:
Qualified
Chartered Accountant (CA)
.
Semi-qualified
Company Secretary (CS)
(Completed Executive or Professional Module preferred).
4-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the
apparel/fashion/retail
industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS), GST, and Companies Act.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, SAP, etc.) and MS Excel.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Understanding of cost sheet management in apparel production.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
