to support our Accounts & Finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting daily accounting operations under the guidance of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Record daily transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into the accounting system (e.g., Tally, ERPNext, or Excel).
Maintain organized records of invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents in both physical and digital formats.
Assist in reconciling bank statements with company books regularly and report discrepancies, if any.
Help prepare and verify GST and TDS data for filing purposes under supervision.
Generate sales invoices, verify purchase bills, and follow up for timely payments and required documentation.
Support internal or statutory audits by providing relevant records and information.
Accurately enter data into ledgers or accounting software and assist in preparing basic financial reports (e.g., ledgers, summaries, balance confirmations).
Assist in maintaining petty cash records and track expenses with proper vouchers (if applicable).
Collaborate with departments like Sales, HR, and Purchase to gather or provide financial information.
Ensure all accounting practices comply with internal policies and maintain confidentiality of financial data.
Proactively learn and understand basic accounting principles, taxation regulations, and company systems.
Provide timely updates and status reports to the assigned supervisor or accounts manager.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, ERPNext, or Excel is a plus.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment.
