Job title: Accounts Head

Location: Secunderabad

Salary: 40-50k

Job summary

The Head of Accounts will lead and manage the SME's entire accounting function, ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant, and maintained in a timely manner. This role requires a hands-on leader who can supervise the day-to-day operations while also providing strategic financial insights to senior management for decision-making. A deep understanding of Indian accounting standards and regulations is essential for this position.

Key responsibilities

? Taxation and compliance

Ensure strict compliance with all Indian tax laws, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
Oversee the timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
Coordinate and support various audits, including statutory, internal, and tax audits.
? Internal controls and systems

Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
Oversee the company's accounting software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
? Experience

5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with significant experience in a managerial or leadership role within an Indian SME environment.
Proven experience in end-to-end accounting.
? Technical skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups) and other Microsoft Office tools.
Hands-on experience with popular accounting software like Tally is required, while familiarity with ERP systems like SAP is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of Ind AS and regulatory compliance in India.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
