Director / Managing Director / CFO

The Accounts & Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting, financial planning, statutory compliance, taxation, and liquidity management of the company. This role is crucial in managing

daily accounts, MIS reporting, budgeting, GST, TDS, bank functions, vendor payments, receivables, inventory records, and overall financial health

of the MSME.

The position demands hands-on knowledge of

MSME-specific accounting

, ability to work independently, and proficiency in ERP/accounting software.

2. Key Responsibilities



A. Accounting & Financial Operations



1. Daily Accounting



Manage day-to-day accounting entries (Sales, Purchase, Payments, Receipts, JV, Contra). Ensure accurate books of accounts using

Tally / Odoo / ERP systems

. Maintain ledgers, cash book, bank book, and reconcile accounts daily. Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.

2. Accounts Payable (AP)



Verify purchase bills, GRNs, and vendor invoices with PO terms. Prepare vendor payment schedules and maintain payment ageing reports. Handle vendor reconciliations and resolve disputes.

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)



Maintain customer ledgers, invoicing, and follow-up for outstanding payments. Prepare ageing analysis and highlight overdue accounts to management. Coordinate with sales team for payment collection and credit control.

4. Banking & Treasury



Manage bank accounts, deposits, OD/CC limits, bank reconciliation, and online banking transactions. Liaise with banks for LC, BG, loan documentation, CC renewal, and MSME financing. Prepare CMA data whenever required.

B. Statutory Compliance & Taxation



1. GST



Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, 9C). Manage GST input credit reconciliation (2A/2B vs Books). Handle GST-related notices, audits, and departmental queries.

2. TDS / Income Tax



Deduct TDS, prepare TDS challans, and file returns (24Q/26Q). Issue TDS certificates (Form 16A). Support CA in tax planning and tax audit.

3. Statutory Audits & Compliance



Prepare annual financial statements (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet). Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and government departments. Ensure compliance with Companies Act, MSME Act, PF/ESIC financial records, etc.

C. Financial Planning & Controls



1. MIS & Reporting



Prepare monthly MIS (Cash flow, P&L, Balance sheet summary, Variance reports). Provide material costing, production costing, and product profitability reports. Prepare inventory valuation with accounts + store team coordination.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting



Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial projections. Monitor budget vs actual performance. Highlight financial risks and suggest cost-control measures.

3. Internal Controls



Implement and monitor internal financial controls (IFC). Ensure proper documentation for purchase, sales, approvals, and payments.

D. MSME-Specific Responsibilities



Ensure compliance with MSME guidelines for credit, dues, and declarations. Maintain statutory MSME records and ensure timely filing. Prepare documents required for government subsidy / funding schemes. Coordinate with bank/CA for project reports, term loans, and working capital.

E. Coordination & Cross-functional Support



Work closely with Production, QC, Sales, and HR to ensure accurate financial integration. Support management with data for decision-making. Handle insurance matters: policy renewals, claims, asset coverage. Assist in commercial operations like dispatch documentation, costing sheets, etc.

3. Skills & Competencies Required



Technical Skills



Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards & GST Proficiency in Tally ERP / Odoo / Any ERP System Expertise in MS Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, MIS automation) Understanding of manufacturing costing (BOM, consumption, WIP) Experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax & Statutory Audits Ability to generate CMA data & financial projections
