We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Controller with a Chartered Accountant background and strong experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire financial operations, ensure compliance, optimize financial performance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Partner with senior management to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process across hotels, resorts, or F&B outlets.
Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis to track performance against targets.
Establish benchmarks for financial and operational performance.
Accounting & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Maintain compliance with statutory regulations, taxation laws, and audit requirements.
Monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs across units.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Manage liquidity, working capital, and treasury functions.
Optimize credit control, receivables, and vendor payments.
Oversee capital expenditure and ROI analysis.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple units.
Collaborate with General Managers, Operations, and Owners on financial matters.
Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
Hospitality-Specific Responsibilities
Monitor unit-level P&L (room revenue, F&B, banquets, ancillary services).
Control operating costs without compromising guest experience.
Implement financial systems for inventory control, menu engineering, and cost tracking.
Ensure compliance with hospitality-specific taxations (GST, service tax, luxury tax, etc.).
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong financial acumen with a CA qualification.
Prior experience in hospitality finance (hotels, resorts, F&B chains).
Deep knowledge of hospitality KPIs (RevPAR, GOP, ADR, occupancy, F&B cost ratios).
Proficiency in ERP and hotel management systems (IDS).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
