The Accounts Executive is a financial professional who performs routine accounting tasks, prepares financial reports, maintains accurate financial records, and assists with audits, taxation, MIS and compliances as required. He ensures compliance with financial and taxation regulations and provides financial data for decision-making. This specific role will focus primarily on Accounts Payable / Vendor Relations and will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable processes in both India and the United States.
The candidate has proficiency in QuickBooks for USA and Tally for India.
Key responsibilities:
Maintaining Financial Reports:
Keeping the general ledger, bank ledger and other accounting records accurate and up-to-date.
Reconciling Accounts:
Ensuring that accounts match and are accurate, including bank and GST reconciliations.
Auditing Support:
Gathering information and preparing documents for internal and external audits.
Processing Invoices:
Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with purchase orders and contracts
Vendor Communication:
Responding to vendor inquiries, addressing payment issues, and maintaining positive vendor relationships
Expense Management:
Reviewing and processing expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and compliances under GST and Income Tax TDS law.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of invoices, payments, and other relevant documents.
Compliance:
Adhering to accounting principles, GST Law, Income Tax Law, company policies, and procedures related to accounts payable.
Data Entry:
Accurately entering invoice and payment information into accounting systems
Supports Accounting Team:
Assist the Accounting Team with all duties as assigned to ensure that daily, monthly and quarterly tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and timely
Required skills:
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data entry and document processing
Excellent Communication Skills: Effectively interacting with employees at all levels to answer questions and address concerns, regular vendor/supplier communications
Basic knowledge of Indian GST and Income Tax (TDS) Provision.
Confidentiality: Handling sensitive employee information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Two to four years of experience in accounting
Preferred educational qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance Business Administration, or a related field
