Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Accounting Activities:
Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the financial data is accurately represented in all records.
Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and cash flow reports.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to management.
Ensure financial reports comply with local, regional, and international accounting standards and regulations.
GST Return Preparation and Filing:
Manage the preparation and filing of GST returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
Monitor GST payments and ensure that filings are done accurately and on time to avoid penalties.
Stay updated on GST-related changes in the law and assess their impact on the business operations.
Statutory Compliance and Audits:
Oversee all statutory accounting activities, ensuring compliance with legal and tax regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, providing all required documentation and ensuring all queries are addressed.
Manage internal and external audit processes to ensure smooth execution and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings, including tax returns, corporate tax compliance, and other regulatory filings.
SAP & Financial System Expertise:
Work extensively with SAP and other financial management systems to ensure accurate data entry, processing, and reporting.
Manage the integration of financial data across various modules within the SAP system.
Identify areas for improvement in financial systems and suggest process optimization to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor budget variances and provide timely reports to senior management.
Provide analysis on financial performance against budgets and propose corrective actions as needed.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership based on financial analysis.
Team Management and Training:
Supervise accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Provide guidance and training to team members on accounting policies, procedures, and software tools.
