The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations including receivables, payables, petty cash handling, taxation, and statutory compliance such as GST. The candidate should possess strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Receivables & Payables
Manage customer invoicing, follow-up for collections, and reconciliation of outstanding accounts.
Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.
Maintain aging reports and provide regular updates to management.
2. Cash & Bank Transactions
Handle daily petty cash transactions and maintain proper records.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, deposits, and fund transfers.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure accurate calculation and timely filing of GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
Assist in statutory audits and support compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws applicable to pharma sector.
4. Financial Reporting & Documentation
Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/reports.
Support management with MIS reports and cost analysis.
5. Internal Controls & Coordination
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and adherence to company policies.
Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external consultants as needed.
Contribute to process improvements in accounting and compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (M.Com/CA Inter preferred).
Minimum 4
-5 years of accounting experience
in the
pharmaceutical industry
.
Strong knowledge of
Accounts Receivable/Payable, GST, TDS, Taxation, and Petty Cash handling
.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ERP) and MS Excel.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
