Key Responsibilities
Maintain
accurate books of accounts
including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance
Handle
day-to-day accounting transactions
- receipts, payments, bank entries, and expense tracking
Perform
bank, cash, and vendor reconciliations
on a regular basis
Assist in
monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts
Maintain
accounts payable and receivable
, including invoicing and follow-ups
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
Support preparation of
financial statements, MIS reports, and summaries
Assist with
GST compliance
- data preparation, returns, and reconciliations
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders as required
Ensure compliance with
accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
B.Com / ACCA (part-qualified or qualified)
Experience:
1-4 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Strong understanding of
accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Hands-on experience with
accounting software
(Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks or similar)
Good knowledge of
MS Excel
(VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
Familiarity with
GST and basic statutory compliance
High level of
accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
Experience in
service-based or professional firms
Exposure to
audit support and financial reporting
Strong communication and coordination skills
Well-organized with a structured approach to work
