Maintain accurate records of raw materials, consumables, finished goods, and spare parts.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Conduct regular stock verification and coordinate periodic physical stock audits.
Ensure proper labeling, binning, and storage of materials for easy identification and retrieval.
2. Material Handling
Supervise loading, unloading, and stacking of materials as per safety and quality standards.
Verify materials received against purchase orders and invoices (quantity, quality, and specifications).
Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and ensure timely entry in ERP or manual registers.
Issue materials to production and maintenance teams based on approved requisitions.
3. Documentation & ERP
Maintain daily stock register (manual/ERP) for inward, outward, and balance.
Generate reports such as material consumption, slow-moving stock, and stock aging.
Coordinate with accounts for reconciliation of GRN and supplier bills.
Ensure all records are properly filed and easily retrievable during audits.
4. Team Supervision
Allocate work to store assistants and helpers and ensure timely task completion.
Train store personnel in material handling, safety, and documentation practices.
Maintain discipline, hygiene, and safety within the store area.
5. Coordination
Liaise with purchase, production, and dispatch teams for timely material availability.
Ensure dispatch of finished goods is accurate as per customer or internal requirements.
Report any material discrepancies or damage immediately to management.
