Job Description

An Account Assistant provides financial and administrative support to accountants and finance teams by maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, assisting with payroll, and generating financial reports. They ensure the accuracy of financial data, manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle various bookkeeping tasks to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities

Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.

Bookkeeping:

Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, including data entry for financial transactions.

Invoicing:

Prepare and process invoices for clients and manage accounts payable and receivable.

Bank Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements to ensure balances match company records and identify any discrepancies.

Payroll Support:

Assist with payroll processing by verifying employee hours and deductions.

Financial Reports:

Help prepare financial reports and assist in budget forecasting.

Administrative Tasks:

Handle administrative duties such as filing financial documents, responding to emails, and managing petty cash.

Compliance:

Ensure financial data is accurate and complies with company policies and accounting standards.
Skills and Qualifications

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail is crucial for accuracy in financial data entry.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent organizational and time management skills are needed to handle multiple tasks.

Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or Excel is beneficial.

Communication:

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external agencies.

Knowledge of Accounting:

A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is required.
Typical Work EnvironmentAccount Assistants typically work in an office environment, providing support to accountants, finance managers, or other finance staff. The role involves both administrative and basic accounting duties, and the specific tasks can vary depending on the size of the company and the accountant's needs.

Salary is Rs10000 per month

Working days 26 days

off days 4 days

Timing is 7am to 6pm India Time

45 minutes Lunch Break

Work From home at the moment

this is full time and not a contract job
