The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in the field of accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and update ledgers.
Assist in preparing invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Liaise with auditors, vendors, and internal departments when required.
Perform general administrative tasks related to finance.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills for internal and external coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates may apply).
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances is a plus.
