The Account Assistant supports the accounting department by handling daily administrative and financial tasks. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, processing invoices, and assisting with audits. The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with numbers accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day accounting operations
Maintain and update financial records in accounting software
Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense forms
Assist in bank reconciliation and account verification
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
Prepare financial documents such as statements and spreadsheets
Handle data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payments
Provide administrative support to the accounts team
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Work Environment:
Office-based role
Collaboration with finance, HR, and admin departments
May require occasional overtime during financial closing periods
