The Assistant Accountant will support the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with month-end and year-end reporting. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in day-to-day accounting operations such as journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain records of all financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments.
Support in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Handle petty cash and update expense registers.
Reconcile supplier statements and assist in accounts payable and receivable management.
Help with payroll data preparation and maintain employee reimbursement records.
Support audits by providing required documents and explanations.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B. Com / M. Com).
0-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
Salary Range: Based on performance in the interview
