The Accounts Assistant will support the finance and accounts department in handling day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and smooth coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/marketing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain books of accounts, including vouchers, journal entries, and ledger postings
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliations
Process purchase invoices, expense bills, and payment entries
Support GST compliance: invoice verification, returns filing, and reconciliations
Assist in TDS calculations, deductions, and filings
Maintain inventory accounting records
Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits
Maintain proper documentation as per pharma regulatory and audit standards
Support budgeting, costing, and MIS reporting as required
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
Knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance
Familiarity with GST, TDS, and basic income tax provisions
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally/ERP preferred)
Experience
1-3 years of experience in accounts or finance
Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry preferred
