We are looking for an Account Assistant provides financial and administrative support to an accounting department by performing routine tasks like data entry, processing invoices, managing accounts payable, and receivables, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial report preparation.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Record & Maintain Financial Data: Entering financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
2. Process Transactions: Processing invoices, payments, expense reports, and petty cash.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Managing accounts payable (bills) and accounts receivable (customer accounts) to ensure accuracy.
4. Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements, vendor statements, and other accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
5. Reporting & Budgets: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
6. Data Entry & Filing: Performing data entry into accounting software and maintaining organized physical and digital financial records.
7. Administrative Support: Handling general administrative tasks such as answering e-mails, responding to inquires, and preparing documents.
8. Compliance: Ensuring all accounting activities comply with relevant company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
