The Accounts Assistant supports the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. This includes data entry, invoice processing, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining financial records and ledgers.
Process invoices, receipts, payments, and bank transactions.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
Help ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Handle petty cash and expense claims.
Coordinate with vendors and customers for payment follow-ups.
Perform general administrative duties related to accounts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role (preferred).
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, MS Excel).
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
