Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees.
Validate inputs (attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, arrears, deductions, etc.).
Process accurate and timely salary disbursement.
Ensure accuracy of pay structures, reimbursements, and tax deductions (TDS, PF, ESI, PT).
Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams.
Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Gratuity, etc.).
File statutory returns within timelines.
Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and consultants.
Stay updated with changes in labor and tax laws and implement them in payroll systems.
Final Settlements (F&F)
Process employee resignations/terminations, ensuring smooth full & final settlement.
Calculate notice pay, gratuity, leave encashment, variable pay, and pending recoveries.
Coordinate with finance, HR, and other departments for clearance.
Issue relieving letters and settlement statements within defined timelines.
Audit & Reporting
Conduct monthly payroll reconciliation and audits.
Prepare MIS reports on payroll cost, headcount, overtime, etc.
Support statutory and internal audits with accurate records and documentation.
Systems & Process Improvement
Manage payroll software and HRIS for accuracy and efficiency.
Drive automation of payroll and compliance processes.
Develop and maintain payroll SOPs and employee guidelines.
Preferred candidate profile
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
Familiarity with HRMS/payroll software (SAP, Oracle, ADP, or similar).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and confidentiality.
Strong communication and stakeholder management.
