in compliance with HMRC regulations
Assist with
accounts preparation
and basic management accounts
Process
purchase and sales invoices
(AP & AR)
Perform
bank reconciliations
and maintain ledgers
Handle
expenses, petty cash, and supplier queries
Support month-end processes and journal postings
Internal Operations & Improvements:
Contribute to process improvement
and identify opportunities for efficiency
Maintain and update
internal documentation and procedures
Assist with general admin duties and support across departments as required
Key Requirements:
Experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Finance Admin role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable making business development calls and following up with clients
Confident using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Good working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPs, filters, basic formulas)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn across different areas of the business
Qualifications Required:
Post-graduation in an accounting or finance-related field
Partly qualified ACCA or CA
(or actively pursuing qualification)
Good understanding of accounting principles and UK VAT regulations
