Job Description

Job Purpose:



To assist the Accounts Department in day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, data entry, record maintenance, and compliance support. The role ensures accuracy and timely processing of accounting transactions in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Bookkeeping & Data Entry

Record daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally / ERP system). Maintain ledgers for receipts, payments, income, and expenditure. Reconcile bank statements and daily cash reports.

Voucher & Documentation

Prepare and verify vouchers (Payment, Receipt, Journal). Ensure all supporting documents are properly filed and accessible for audit. Maintain physical and digital records as per audit and compliance norms.

Billing & Payments

Assist in invoice preparation, GST entries, and vendor payments. Support in maintaining petty cash and expense reports. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for timely payments and receipts.

Compliance & Reporting

Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support statutory compliance such as GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other filings. Prepare data for audits and respond to auditor queries.

Administrative Support

Assist in maintaining inventory and asset records. Coordinate with banks for deposit slips, cheque clearance, and reconciliations. Perform any other duties assigned by the Accounts Officer or Management.

Skills & Competencies:



Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, etc.). Good communication and organizational skills. Accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com or equivalent). 0-3 years of relevant experience (Freshers with accounting knowledge may apply).
