We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounts team with daily accounting tasks, coordinating invoice processing, handling payment follow-ups, managing couriers, and overseeing stock management. Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Coordination
: Assist in the preparation, review, and dispatch of invoices to clients. Ensure that all invoices are accurate, processed in a timely manner, and recorded in the accounting system.
Payment Follow-ups
: Follow up with clients and vendors to ensure timely receipt of payments and resolve any payment-related issues. Maintain a record of all payment status and deadlines.
Courier Management
: Receive and dispatch couriers for deliveries and shipments. Maintain a log of outgoing and incoming couriers, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of documents and goods.
Stock Management
: Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure stock is replenished on time and maintain an organized inventory system.
Administrative Support
: Assist the accounts team with various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document organization. Ensure all records are properly maintained and up-to-date.
Communication
: Act as a liaison between the accounts department, clients, vendors, and other internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Compliance and Reporting
: Ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in generating financial reports as required.
Other Ad-Hoc Tasks
: Assist with any other tasks as needed to support the accounts department and business operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and accounting software.
Basic knowledge of stock management systems is a plus.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
