Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts and Finance Executive (CA) to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives, including fundraising documentation and investor-related financial reporting. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and experience in preparing investor decks, due diligence documentation, and compliance reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
Manage day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or IFRS.
Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.
2. Fundraising & Investor Documentation
Collaborate with senior management during fundraising rounds (equity, debt, or venture capital).
Prepare and manage financial data for pitch decks, investor presentations, and term sheets.
Assist in compiling documents for financial due diligence, valuations, and audits.
Coordinate with legal, financial, and investment advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of fundraising documentation.
Maintain data rooms and investor reports for equity and debt investors.
3. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
Support in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
Perform variance analysis and provide insights for cost control and profitability improvement.
Generate MIS reports for management review.
4. Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and risk management practices.
Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
Support ROC filings, board resolutions, and other compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Chartered Accountant (CA) - Must be fully qualified.
2-5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in startups, corporates, or consulting firms.
Hands-on experience with fundraising documentation, investor reporting, or due diligence processes.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, corporate finance, and taxation.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and financial modeling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential data.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in working with VC-backed startups, PE funds, or fundraising processes.
Exposure to company secretarial matters, shareholding structure, and cap tables is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
