Zenarate, a leading AI-driven SaaS company serving global clients, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our India finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of accounting experience, particularly within companies that interface internationally. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations including tax compliance, accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting, as well as supporting audits and regulatory filings. This role requires a proactive individual comfortable working independently and collaborating with global teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Validate payment and liability vouchers with contracts, orders, or supporting documents.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and raise concerns as needed.

• Maintain books of accounts using QuickBooks or similar software; perform reconciliations.

• Manage TDS (withholding tax) compliance and file returns with Indian tax authorities.

• Handle GST compliance, including monthly return filings, input credit, annual returns, and refund applications.

• Attend TDS proceedings in Department, whenever required

• Coordinate with Bank for matching Inward remittances with Export bills raised to make compliance of EDPM (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System)

• File STPI returns and Annual Progress Reports for software exports.

• Collaborate with banks to reconcile remittances and monitor exchange rates.

• Prepare customer invoices based on cost-plus contracts and ensure e-invoicing compliance.

• Support internal and external audit processes.

• Generate MIS reports as required.

• Maintain petty cash records and support general financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 8+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or SaaS company.

• Strong experience with QuickBooks or equivalent accounting tools.

• Deep knowledge of Indian tax regulations, including GST and TDS.

• Exposure to STPI and export-related financial compliance.

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.

• Fluency in English and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
