Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/Senior Accountant to support our day to day accounting operations, project-wise cost tracking, statutory compliance, and coordination with vendors, consultants, and internal design team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting software and a strong understanding of project-based financial workflows common in architecture and design firms.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Book keeping
Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
Handle project-wise accounting for architecture and interior projects
Record client invoices, receipts, and milestone-based billings
Manage consultant fee billing and retainership payments
Vendor & Purchase Management
Process vendor bills related to materials, contractors, and services
Maintain purchase orders and vendor payment schedules
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
GST & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file
GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
Ensure correct GST treatment for services, RCM, and inter-state supplies
Handle TDS deductions for consultants, contractors, and professionals
Support audits and liaise with CA and statutory authorities
MIS & Reporting
Prepare monthly MIS reports (P&L, cash flow, outstanding receivables)
Track
project profitability and cost overruns
Support management with financial insights and budgeting
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain contracts, invoices, and financial records
Ensure audit-ready documentation at all times
Requirements
Education: B.com / M.com / CA Inter (preferred)
Experience: 1-5 years of experience as an Accountant
Technical Expertise:
Architecture, interior design, construction, or project-based firms preferred
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / Busy / QuickBooks
Good command over
MS Excel
(VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian compliance
Experience with
retainer-based and milestone billing
Exposure to
site expenses and contractor payments
Familiarity with
client contracts and fee structures
Work closely with architects and designers on live projects
Exposure to multi-site, high-value design projects
Opportunity to grow into a Finance Manager role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
