Position-Accountant for E-commerce accounting

Key responsibilities

End-to-end reconciliation:

Manage the full reconciliation process for payments from e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and others.

Report analysis:

Download, analyse, and reconcile platform-specific reports, including sales, payment, and settlement data, against internal records and bank statements.

Discrepancy resolution:

Investigate and resolve payment mismatches, short or excess payments, chargebacks, and other discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and the marketplaces.

Financial record maintenance:

Ensure accurate financial data entry and maintain reconciliation sheets, dashboards, and documentation in accounting software like Tally.

Deduction verification:

Verify all deductions, including commissions, courier charges, TCS, and penalties, against platform policies and contracts.

Reporting:

Prepare and present weekly or monthly management information (MIS), profit and loss (P&L) statements, and margin analysis reports.

Process improvement:

Recommend and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the reconciliation process.

Required skills and qualifications

Experience with e-commerce platforms and accounting for them. Strong understanding of accounting and reconciliation principles. Proficiency in using accounting software like Tally and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
