: Accounts Executive / Accounts Person

Position: Accounts Executive / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Officer

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Yamuna Nagar

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with financial reporting. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, supports audits, and assists in smooth financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain daily accounting entries (sales, purchase, expense, journal entries).

Record and reconcile cash, bank, and petty cash transactions.

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Update ledgers, trial balance, and ensure books are accurate.

2. Billing & Invoicing

Prepare and process customer invoices.

Verify vendor bills and enter them into the system.

Ensure timely payment follow-up and collection of outstanding dues.

3. Bank & Financial Reconciliation

Perform monthly bank reconciliation statements (BRS).

Track payments, deposits, and fund transfers.

Coordinate with the bank for queries or discrepancies.

4. Taxation & Compliance

Assist in GST filing, TDS deduction, and return submissions.

Prepare required data for statutory audits and internal audits.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.

5. Payroll & Documentation Support

Assist in preparing salary sheets and payroll processing if required.

Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, invoices, and financial records.

Keep records ready for audits and financial inspections.

6. Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.

Maintain reports on expenses, revenue, outstanding payments, etc.

Assist the finance team in budgeting and forecasting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).

Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Good communication and time management abilities.

Preferred Experience

2-3 years of experience in accounts or finance roles.

Experience with GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and invoice processing.

Exposure to audits and financial documentation.
