We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Accountant
to manage the end-to-end accounting and financial operations of our real estate development company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and entities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in line with accounting standards and company policies.
Oversee project-wise cost accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenues across multiple real estate projects and entities.
2. Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements including
GST, TDS, Income Tax, RERA, PF/ESI, and ROC filings
.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits; prepare audit schedules and support documentation.
Maintain accurate records for tax assessments and liaise with consultants and government authorities as needed.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Support management with financial analysis, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
Monitor project financial performance and highlight key risks or deviations.
4. Treasury & Banking Operations
Manage day-to-day banking activities, fund transfers, and loan documentation.
Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for project funding and compliance.
5. Process Improvement & Controls
Develop and implement accounting systems and internal controls to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
Support automation initiatives and ERP implementation for improved financial tracking and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com .
Experience:
Minimum
8 years
of accounting experience, with at least
4 years in the real estate or construction industry
.
Strong knowledge of
Tally / ERP systems
, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
In-depth understanding of
GST, TDS, RERA, Income Tax, and other real estate-related compliance
.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
