Role Overview

The accountant will manage end to end accounting operations at MimamsAa, ensuring accurate books of accounts, real time inventory tracking, compliance filings, and smooth coordination with the CFO team. The role supports a fast-growing designer wear brand operating across online (D2C), MBO and exhibition channels.

Key Responsibilities

a.

Daily Accounting Operations

- Record daily transactions in Tally (sales, purchases, expenses, payments, receipts).

- Maintain updated books with zero backlog.

- Update daily workings including sales, cashflow, collections and payables.

b.

Inventory Management

- Maintain SKU wise inventory (fabric, trims, finished goods).

- Track inventory movement across D2C, MBO and exhibi ons.

- Maintain cos ng sheets for each SKU (fabric, labour, overheads).

- Perform monthly inventory reconciliation.

c.

Books Finalisation

- Maintain correct ledger classification as per COA.

- Prepare monthly trial balance, ledgers and schedules.

- Support month end and year end closing.

- Complete reconciliations: bank, vendor, customer, GST and inventory.

d.

Coordination with CFO Team

- Provide timely datasets in required formats.

- Support MIS preparation with accurate data.

- Assist in preparing profitability statements, cost sheets and WC reports.

- Act as the first point for operational finance queries.

Compliance Management

- Prepare GST workings: GSTR1, GSTR3B, 2A/2B reconcilia on.

- Prepare TDS workings and payment schedules.

- Make timely TDS/GST payments and assist in filing returns.

- Maintain all compliance and audit documentation.

Payments & Vendor Management

- Process vendor payments after proper validation.

- Maintain vendor ageing and payable schedules.

- Reconcile vendor statements regularly.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong command over Tally ERP.

- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

- Accurate inventory and costing maintenance.

- Understanding of GST, TDS and basic compliance.

- High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

- Ability to work in a fast paced fashion environment.

- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance.

- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience.

- Preference for fashion/apparel/designer wear industry experience.

- Experience in inventory driven businesses preferred.

- Strict adherence to compliance due dates and SOPs.

- Ability to handle pressure during launches and exhibitions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
