About the Role

We are seeking a motivated

Junior Accountant

to join our finance team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have

UK accounting exposure

with strong knowledge of

VAT, Xero, and QuickBooks

, and hold or be pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as

ACCA or CA (semi-qualified or qualified)

.

This role offers the opportunity to work in the

FMCG sector

, handling end-to-end bookkeeping and compliance while gaining exposure to international accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in

Xero and QuickBooks

. Prepare and process

invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses

. Assist in preparing and filing

UK VAT returns

in line with HMRC compliance. Support

month-end and year-end closing activities

. Maintain accurate

accounts payable and receivable

records. Assist with

P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements

. Provide support during

internal and external audits

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting support.

Required Qualifications

ACCA / CA (semi-qualified or qualified)

- mandatory. 0.6 - 2 years of experience in

accounting

, preferably with

UK accounting exposure

. Hands-on experience with

Xero

(mandatory) and

QuickBooks

. Knowledge of

UK VAT compliance and reporting

. Strong proficiency in

MS Excel

(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial analysis). Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in

FMCG accounting or reporting

. Additional certification in

Xero or QuickBooks

. Familiarity with other UK compliance areas (e.g., Payroll, CIS).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
