Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting & Analysis:

Track and analyze costs of raw materials (e.g., corn, soybean meal, additives). Calculate cost per ton of feed produced. Monitor feed production and inventory costs.

Inventory Management:

Maintain records of raw materials and finished feed. Reconcile physical stock with system records. Work closely with storekeepers and production managers for accurate reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in preparing budgets for feed production and procurement. Monitor variances and prepare reports for management.

Procurement Accounting:

Verify supplier invoices and purchase orders. Track payments for feed ingredients and other production supplies.

Sales & Distribution Accounting:

Record sales of feed to broiler farms or dealers. Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.

Taxation & Compliance:

Ensure VAT, GST, and other taxes related to feed sales and procurement are properly calculated and filed. Stay compliant with industry-specific government regulations.

Payroll Processing (if applicable):

Handle salaries and wages of mill workers, including statutory deductions.

Reporting:

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports specific to feed production and sales. Present profitability and operational efficiency metrics to management.
