The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring accuracy in accounting transactions, and maintaining compliance with statutory and organizational policies. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, tax filings, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate books of accounts (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet).
Record daily financial transactions including payments, receipts, and journal entries.
Prepare and verify bank reconciliations and vendor/customer account statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliance.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices and vouchers.
Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making data.
